Author Biography
The enigmatic NDK (self-styled phonetic prankster) has been involved in the art & entertainment industry almost his entire life. His parents, hardworking, working class, were dancers and pianists; his father an engineer and his mother employing a multitude of talents to make a hard life easier for their children. The creative genes must have been strong, for NDK has sculpted, carved, painted, sketched, illustrated, writ poetry, songs, played multiple instruments, and finally returned to the beginning of his life’s journey, to words; and there he is carving a powerful niche through the articulation of far-reaching ideas.
When NDK was 3 years old he was already reading. When he was 7 years old he was toured around his local school, by the principal, who found in NDK an example of comprehensive ability and literacy that astounded him. The tour didn’t do NDK any favors; the students ridiculed NDK and taught him early the folly and hypocrisy of Tall Poppy Syndrome, and he dealt with it by demonstrating sufficient intelligence to stay in top educational streams and no more, while working quietly to build his knowledge in a broad range of subjects centred on the art & entertainment industry.
“It was a balancing act that I never understood until my late thirties; I used to think it was me, that there was something wrong with what I was communicating; which is what the bullies want you to think. The hypocrisy of our civilization and society—at every level—never ceases to amaze me.”
NDK’s interests are as diverse as the stars in the sky and he is widely read and well informed on a range of topics. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Fargoth World Building Project.
