In the last few months the Free Articulator has grown beyond our expectations. We launched Free Articulator 2.0 on the 1st of January and soon after, introduced our first Feature that explored the mind and work of talented digital artist and model Lena Semenkova. We’re also hard at work on a slew of things you’ll find out about soon.

The last few weeks were spent searching for the right candidates to man our Desks. A Desk is essentially a section of the magazine - Creativity, Business, Culture and News. While we’re still looking for the right person to run the Business Desk, we’ve found a great selection of Desk Editors who you’ll be meeting throughout the week as they publish their first pieces.

Sandra Rychel - News Desk

Sandra Rychel is an individualist with a streak of activism. Her belief in the freedom of self-expression and her keen support of important ethical and social issues such as animal rights made her an excellent choice for the News Desk, where we seek not only to share facts but defeat apathy and inspire action. By training a psychologist, by trade a copy editor, Sandra brings excellent insight and a sharp-edge writing style to the Free Articulator.

Eric Brown - Creativity Desk

Eric Brown is a man who tried everything; the Navy, phlebotomy, even maintenance and electrical at a slaughterhouse. Somewhere along the line he discovered his affinity for art and spent the next few years attaining degrees in fine arts and graphic design. Now, he works from home as a freelance writer and designer, and teaching the readers of the Free Articulator about creative technique!

Marie Ourganjian - Culture Desk

Marie Ourganjian is a freelance writer armed with a degree in journalism and a passion for social justice. She grew up on a vineyard ranch in the San Joaquin Valley of California watching farmworkers toil in the searing sun. Her desire for social justice fermented along with the grapes, but the searing heat did not fry her brain.

We’re excited to have Sandra, Eric and Marie on the team, and we hope you’ll enjoy their work and get more out of the Free Articulator!
